I am starting this thread for those of us interested in learning about ciphers, so that we
can exchange information. Please ask your questions, and give answers to your colleagues.
My first question: Do any of you know about Jack Levine’s trigram cipher? What I know so far is that it is
an extension of the Playfair that encrypts three letters at a time, and that it maybe uses five 5×5 grids.
There was an article in The Cryptogram in 1961, but I don’t have access.
Harry, could you please change the title of this thread to
“Thread for Exchanging Info about Ciphers”?
I think it may attract more interest.
Thank you.
