Last chance to ask any questions about the elite challenge.

    Who has solved it?
Who is still working on it?

    @Madness

I’m afraid I’ve made no progress (but I must confess I haven’t really looked at it much). Are there any clues you might be able to offer up in the last few days?

    Thanks

    Hello,
Do we need to use ASCII code ?

Not ascii, this predates that. But perhaps something older of the same sort?

I will leave Madness to give more specific hints.

I mean : is there a kind of conversion Baudot <===> Ascii or something like that ?

Focus on the dots. Then look at it sideways.

@Madness is this meaning it is more about position in the text, rather than an actual process (sort of (if you get me))?

Hi Harry & Madness, I just got back from a 4 week absence (priority, personal life happenings to attend to)
I will have to make a pass on the ELITE cipher.

    This my last post.
I look forward to the 20th NCC and until then,
I wish everyone here the very best, TLW.

No, I literally mean take the dot pattern and turn it sideways.

Is that means we must read holes from 5 to 1 instead of 1 to 5 ?

    Ha ha ha ha. No.

Sorry I don’t understand “turn it sideways” or “look at it sideways”. I have not a good translation.

Sideways means a rotation by 90 degrees.
